I've been trying to learn Octane these days, and yes... it's more complicated than I thought before.
Need some time to study it first.

This is where I've found lots of problems.
SRO scenes are so much complex (lots of characters, object, outfits) that make lots of error in Octane. (weird texture bugs, fail lighting etc...)

DeleteNo, those are new characters (Zoey was introduced before on this blog though).
Both are scientists that will go to Elf Forest with Drake and Al.
Still far unfortunately.
I still can't promise anything at this rate. I even need some more time to learn this new Octane.

Most new characters in SR0-2 will be elves (after all, no elves were in SR0-1). I don't think there will be any new human characters apart from the scientists. Maybe some random people in the DSF base.
DeleteEro Hazard will be another smaller story like Filthy Fantasy X.
You might want to get some advice from Epoch. I know he has helped others out about Octane. He has been using it for some time now. I know there is some things you need to switch materials, to be octane compatible.
