(BIG) Updates
Hi all.
I Just want to report some progresses.
Now, I start working a story draft for SR0 part two with mpgrey.
While I'm doing the scripts, I try to finish some short comics too which I planned to bundle them with SR0: Deleted Ending.
So, here are some teasers.
Another "Violet" (again... >_<)
Violet series means two things for me.
a. Try to improve my English vocabularies >_<
b. Practice new render tech/tricks.
Here, I tried to fix one/two things that really bother me.
One, skin shaders, yes it's harder than I thought, playing with specular/diffuse colour.
It's improved now (I think) but, still not perfect. What's skin shader? For a simple answer...
Look at pic no 3. That's what a skin without a shader on it, a normal one.
While it looks good on bright scenes, sometime it becomes dull on dark scenes.
And look at pic no 6... ehm! Look at the skin boys and girls ! not others.
See the skin's different? Hey you! Yes you! Look at the skin!!!
And number two! The face expressions for my female models, yes, it's quite annoying when you can play a lot with male's face expressions more than the girls.
I can freely playing with male's expression since I don't care if they'll look bad, ugly or not.
But for girls? NO! It's a taboo for me to make them looks ugly (Especially mpgrey... he'll complain a lot) but it's really hard not to make them look "weird" while change their expressions.
So far I only use one expression to show the girls are in pleasures.
First, open their mouth... yeah...it's boring I know...>_<
Second, they are smiling...
So, I have a lot of complaints about how the girls look "flat" when they are having sex.
For some references... I open and play all my Rui Saotome's AV, to see her expression while she...you know ( A good excuses right? hahaha)

Hey it's Lenna, the random unused elf girl!
ReplyDeleteIt's not really fair, G9, to ask everyone to compare the deleted ending to the real ending based only on these pics. After all, it was not because the pics were lacking in any way (on the contrary!) that the deleted ending became the deleted ending: it was because the story was not good enough.
So don't cause a rebellion here by making everyone regret that we chose the other ending! >_<
And those final two pics (with the Shadow Rangers girls) are new to me. You sure they're not part of a first batch for part2?

But everyone of course can decide which they like better, right?
For us, the reason we changed them was because, we didn't like them.
So the "Real" ending will always be the one we use in the final.

I'm not a "hardcore" fans of American comic's heroes/heroines, so I don't have enough references to create a parody or something like that. Sorry.

Not a hardcore fan other. But were never there is mind control i'm there :) And games that contains the theme or but a small amount of it, is a much play for me.

No, it's a brand new story/characters.
Violet is more like brand name of the series I made which has nothing to do with super heroes/fantasy, mind control theme.
sorry I never played Filthy Fantasy or came in contact with it only over the last comic of yours and I like it ! will this one become a continuation story of the old one with Tifa Lockhart and Kyra, Yuffie or is that a new one and has nothing to do with the other story? only that I see Tifa again ( in a other universe maybe:?)

Quite a lot actually, the problem was, me and mpgrey didn't see them good enough as a comic that holds an important role of the whole Shadow Ranger's saga.
So maybe it would be better to call them, deleted scenes rather than alternative ending >_<

No, as G9 mentioned and as you may remember from when we were having so much trouble getting the final part right from the first comic, at one point we had a different ending than what we ended up using.
DeleteThe current pages 203-224 have replaced this deleted ending.
So it's not a matter of just taking some pages out to prevent the comic from getting too big, but rather replacing them with other pages. We do that all the time for pages here and there. Because this deleted ending consists of a lot of pages, we decided to keep them for a possible bonus release (just for fun). The story may not be good, but the pictures themselves are...juicy enough.
It would seem very logical to me that H3N comics also replaces lots of pages during the making process.
will we see Zoey in the story of SR0?

I'm still glad you didn't keep it because the eyes without the pupil are not the way to go. She looks too “under it” like a puppet or a dummy and it doesn't do much for me. If one of the character isn' t really conscious during the sex scene, then what's the point of it ?

Her disheveled hair, wild look, and her appreciative face are really a nice contrast with the tame and proper Megan from SR0 : part 1. I think that more than any silly costume change that's what a really good corruption is all about. Those few changes really reflect the transformation Megan has been through.
Concerning the violet serie, it's good that you keep something to experience with. Also I think that making your characters (especially the female ones) more expressive during the sex and corruption scenes is a good idea. I actually noticed before that the male characters showed a much wider range of expression while the female ones stayed pretty tame. It was strange because it made it look like the the men were the only ones having fun.
Finally, props for keeping on making the continuity that much more develloped with showing us young Leona and the young Shadow rangers. It will be that much more fun when we'll see how much they've changed when you go back to Gaia 6 (however far in the future that is).
Anyway, some nice prospects for the future !

DeleteIf you need inspiration for the expressions and faces, I advise you look for "Stoya". She's very interresting, makes a lot of various expression and that makes her one of the hottest porn actress for me.
ReplyDeleteIt really looks like she takes her pleasure. Because she shows so much emotions, it looks like the sex is really intense. That's what lacked till now in Shadow/Gaia ranger.
Maybe you could you use her for the characters already corrupted or during he end of the corruption.

DeleteWe'll do everything we can to deliver the comic as best as possible. How long we end up needing for that is something only time will tell.
(And if you really meant to ask when the next comet is going to hit the Earth...there are likely other websites that can provide more info about that. ;P)

I think you're referring to the sample pics from the deleted scene. So no need to put any more thought into that: it has no meaning to the actual story.

Gaia, two girls are down, 3 more to go.
9. 1 Shadow Ranger Zero part 2 and we'll move to finish the Gaia (maybe 2 books), so yeah basically 3 more books.

I am very calm usually on the comments but this kind makes me very angry.
DeleteIt's a corruption comic, we come to see just that : the heroine becoming truly corrupted by the villain. That's not nice to say you want them to revert back, when everyone here wait months for them to be transformed.
In traditional media, don't worry you'll get to see them revert and the corruption won't mean anything, but in this comic I was quite happy to see the heroine really turning to the dark side.
To Nr.7: Megan, Dr.Risa, Gina, Amber, Lin, Tina, Kayla, Zoey are 8 females :) and how many elf woman will we meet ?

ReplyDeleteI've reread SR 0 part 1 and wanted to continue the talk we had before.
I think I agree with you and realize the corruption was in fact pretty well done now that I've payed it more attention.
The way she resists and finally falls really looks like someone who can't handle it anymore and not someone who did so just because the plot requires it. The symptoms are also really well done.
I really appreciate the biological part, the physical manifestation of the corruption (parasite) is finaly given consistance and that makes the corruption more realistic and concrete.
What I meant in my previous comment is that I like to see the physical transformation that will happen no matter what, that propagates itself inside the heroine AND also the effects each step of the transformation has on the heroine's psyche. I don't want to see the heroine both transformed mentally and physically as soon as she breaks it doesn't look as realistic (she breaks, an ellipse, she reappear with some strange costume).

DeleteI'm glad we turn out to be on the same wavelength after all concerning the ending. As for what happens next in part 2 with Megan, that should be right up your alley as well.
For Megan, we indeed chose a gradual corruption that currently is far from complete. That's also why we don't get a good look at the "new" Megan at the end of the bed scene: her inner and outer transformation are still progressing (as can also be seen by looking at the last sample picture right above the Zoey picture).
We conveniently sent Drake and Megan to different missions so anything can happen without her lover close by to watch her...

Also questions:
Will all the other secondary characters get corrupted ? I hope so and in order those I want the most to be corrupted:
1) Tina and the Professor (Kyle). I found their relationship so wrong and exciting. I really hope they end up together thanks to the corruption. With Kyle impregnating Tina. If they have a child together it's full circle !
2) Tia returning transformed. I know she was dead but perhaps she isn't really ? I found her very sexy.
(+ maybe she can finish with Doctor White ?)
3) The Doctor and Gina (I'm sure we haven't finished hearing of the lesbians lovers !)
4) Amber/ Kayla
Wow that's a lot actually. I know that none of the characters return in Gaia Ranger but it doesn't mean they can't be corrupted in SR:0 and after live their life as monsters on the side = )

Lucian doesn't really need any rituals or both Laura and Leona to become more powerful than the Dark Emperor. Instead, it's all about the elf fragments (that are mentioned in Gaia 5 for the first time).
DeleteIt's this part of the elf backstory that we'll be showing you because this is what we want to tell before making Gaia 6.
Updates will likely be slow, unfortunately. G9 is drowning in real-life work at the moment.
I don't know about the elf fragments storyline.
DeleteI'd prefer if every villain can corrupt if they want.
This way each one could transform a heroine into his companion.
It would keep the story varied and make each corruption new.
And if Lucian needs to have the elf fragments to be stronger, then he will have to fight the DE...there will be sides taken and all that...
I'd prefer if we just have the heroines being transformed into the wives and concubines of the villains. It's nice if they're interresting characters and we know about them before but I don't care for the elf fragment plot...
is is a kind of medaillon or something in the girl?

I find it difficult to come up with answers to your questions without spoiling parts of the storyline. The elf fragments are carried within the body so it's not a simple matter of pickpocketing a medaillon to acquire it.
DeleteLucian has one and Leona has the other. That's why Lucian goes after Leona specifically. He'll need both fragments to become powerful enough to stand a chance against the D.E.
Without it, he only has half-assed MC powers, as we've seen in Gaia 5: nothing special compared to the D.E. That's why he couldn't take permanent control over Laura and needed the D.E. to do that for him.
Various parts of the plot have already been set into motion in Gaia 4, 5, and SR0. So (to Marluigi) it's not as if this is some new idea that we're giving a try and there is still a way back. Please don't write the plot off in advance as you haven't seen most of it yet. ^_^
If everything works out as planned, SR0 part2 should be quite eventful!
As for the questions about Cindy, anything is possible. Cindy was intended to be nothing more than a one-time side character. There is no role for her in the remaining part of the story, but that could also still mean that we can think of a way to put her into the story anyway. She is still around after all. No guarantees though.
And the "suffering" remark (I suppose you refer to page 012?) is about the mind control. Laura obviously understands that Cindy was taken against her will.

I'd just hate if the story went too far and the corruption weren't as enjoyable.
For example I don't care about a power struggle on the evil side.Shadow Ranger Black (now "Dark Queen") especially is the DE's. To make her something else would make the corruption less complete. Because it's just who has the most power and takes back the importance of the corruption and the link corruptor<--> corrupted.

That could only mean on this point that it is Leona or laura or or a weak D.E.!

Yeah I was militant for each villain his heroine (with the DE to keep the ones he already has+ 1 or 2 new) for a long time now.

Considering that SR0 was supposed to be released last year, will there be any confirmed big releases in 2014 as updates have been very infrequent and it kinds of suggest that 2014 will be quite an empty year for G9 fans

Though I'm jumping the gun a bit: G9 will likely update you all about this later today.
wow so we have to wait for 3 years before the next GAIA issue is released since G9 doesn't even have his character models up yet after the computer problem he had? D:
DeleteWaiting sucks, no doubt about it. But in the end, there is nothing that can be done about it.
DeleteThe computer problem has not been any influence to the wait for Gaia 6 however. G9 has to deal with other sudden unforeseen problems and I'd like to ask you all to respect this and be patient.
If it were up to him, we would've been happily underway with SR0 part2, but that is not the case at the moment.

ReplyDeleteI just think G9's comics should not lose their main appeal : the transformation and the eroticism. Also some great sex scenes when the heroine is squirming and fighting the pleasure. But I think G9 is working on this aspect so no problem

DeleteAnd we'll always appreciate it when you make constructive posts meant to point us to, what you think, is the right direction. Even in the case it's the total opposite of what we're doing (not the case now, obviously), at least it shows that you care about the comics and want to help.

G9 is ok, just too busy to have time for the comics (and even visit the blog as he told me today).
DeleteNobody needs to worry about his health or anything serious like that; he just needs some time to get certain aspects of his personal life back on track again.
How long will this take? I don't know. I only know that he'll be back whenever it's possible.
And don't worry about your English. This is a global community and no one is a master in each and every language, so don't let that keep you from posting your thoughts.
