Shadow Rangers Remake (tentative name)
Hi All.
It's time for the first render of the upcoming remake of the original Shadow Rangers.
It will consist richer story, some new plot twist, and even new design concept of the characters.
Hope you guys and girls (yup I remodeled all the male characters here to make them looks better, hopefully... >_<)

Shinra and G9 are really the only comic makers who do this particular kind of genre using 3d models.
Are you looking for more of this specific genre (fetish), or are you looking for more 3d comic artists?
It is quite a quiet area with only few artists in it, and with that being said is there any tips or advice G9 or anyone else could give to people who are interested in trying to do 3d modeling at this level. Such as information on how you got started, websites or videos that inspired\helped you.

You can check Loe's comic (Astral Boy?) on mccomix or hipcomix too.
DeleteThey use CG graphics on mind control/hypnotize story theme.
Actually there are lots of CG artist who has done these kind of comics.
I got started about 5 years ago.
If you think I do "3D modeling" then you are wrong.
I don't do modeling, what I do just posing (make a pose, put lightings, edit here and there).
For 3D modelling (just like sculpting, rigging, etc)
you can try blender.
If you want to try "posing" you can try Daz3D first.
It's free >_<
And it's more simple than Poser.
It's not as hard as you think. And if you are stuck or something, you can ask me or for better assistance, there's a forum on Daz with lots of experts.
It needs about one year of learning curve, once you can grab the basics, it would be limitless posibilities for your render.

I think i've said it before G9. You should do a youtube video where you make a picture or a scene and then speed the process up.
Deleteakonkid is another great one but he kinda disappeared. he sometimes can drag out his stories a bit long but his league of liberty: vanishing act is amazing. he seems to have disappeared tho :(

The main story basically the same.
Mkae some little twist here and there, and complete the whole story.
Well i will miss the old gothic look every one got in the original. Kates outfit was great, Amys outfit was great and Janes outfits, both of them, was great. But then i´m a sucker for female goth outfits.

Don't worry about Gaia 6.
DeleteIt'll connect to Gaia 5 just like any other new issue connected to the previous one.
There will likely be graphical changes compared to Gaia 5, but that's simply the result of the lost data. When rebuilding everyone, you can't help but get some changes here and there.
But that doesn't have to mean anything. After all, there have been graphical changes in all issues all the time.
Just compare Gaia 5 to Gaia 4. And Gaia 4 to Gaia 3.
The changes we're talking about here have only to do with the original Shadow Rangers series. There was a lot to improve in every department and we hope to do just that.
It seems there are still people (like Kain) who are not sure that the graphics from the old series needed a facelift, but hopefully everyone will agree that the storytelling can be a lot better.
Just to give everyone a nice teaser: we're currently working on a part of the script containing nothing but new scenes. So even while we're re-doing an old series, we can still provide additional story.
As for how long you need to wait for Gaia 6... I don't know! But no worries, we won't do the entire Shadow Rangers remake series before we do Gaia 6.
Gaia Rangers IS the current main series so there is no way we'll get sidetracked long enough to forget what series has the biggest demand.
I haven´t said, that i don´t think the original need a face lift. If i´m not remember wrong, i actually joke early about making a remake of the original.
DeleteThe thing with the orignal is that you, clearly can see G9:s learning curve. During every issue the quality gets better and better.
So, i´m not, in any way aginst a face lift. On the contrary.
