DeleteThe focus isn't on SR0-3 or Gaia 7 yet, so there isn't anything new to report about that. SR0-3 will wrap up the history lesson that SR0 is and contain story elements that we want to tell and reveal (and use) before we can work on Gaia 7.
For now, though, it's all Daireiger.
From my side there is nothing to report at all. The ball is still in G9's court.

What do you think about the reason why Kirgoun has such a strong impression on Mina Liu while Dr. Chelsea Wong is really the most impressive female character in the series. Chelsea is beautiful, talented, moreover, has a past story with Kingoun.
ReplyDeleteChelsea is super interesting as a character because she is essentially the archetypal "villainess who falls in love with the hero and switches sides" in Sentai plots.
DeleteShe's a high ranking Red Moon member that switched sides after having her eyes opened by some unknown protag. Sucks for her that this is Season 2, and her happily ever after gets warped as she's brainwashed to take her old role again.
That said, she's a supporting role through and through. She supported Kirgoun developing the mind wiper. When she switched sides she supported the Rangers. Now she supports Kirgoun in getting Mina.
This is a story about Kirgoun and Mina's brainwashing, so Mina gets the spotlight....
That said, best girl, without a doubt, is Yeri. Sucks she gets the short end of the stick, but man do I want to see those wits and smarts get twisted out and have her turn to a basic henchman or a lowly pet. She has the most to fall.

you are not the only one who wants to see that scene, I saw many people on the others website who want to see the final process images. It would be a waste to build such a long story and plot without the scene of Mina completing corruption (like doctor Chelsea at chap 1)

DeleteAn answer to the cynical anonymous above: everything I am doing right now is bonus that decreases the waiting time. The chapter isn't even completed yet, so you would be waiting anyway. Right now, while G9 is still busy making new pages, I am already completing other pages that have already been made.
DeleteUsually at this stage of a chapter, I would not even begin with text work because of the uncertainty that entire scenes might be scrapped.
Working on this final chapter is a little easier because nothing needs to be set up for later, so it's safer for us to conclude that all the good scenes will stay in the comic until the end.
Oh, and I got another 10 pages done yesterday, so that's even more time already won. You're welcome.

The only truth about the release date so far is that it's still too early to start predicting. A June release is extremely unlikely. Anything later is still too far away.

DeleteI think the "mistake" is in giving exact numbers. No one knows when the chapter will release and most people here are using an auto-translator. Having things like "check back July 20" will just make people angry if it doesn't release that day. Or better yet, it releases sooner.

That's the only 3D hentai i read i can feel something about character's psychology, not only mina or Yeri but the grey ranger too, the yellow ranger same. DeleteHave either of you ever considered making a visual novel/game? With the amount of renders your works have, they could be a proper game. And without the hassle of making comic pages or writing to fit a speech bubble.
DeleteThe way I see it, in comics like we make, the text supports the pictures. In a visual novel it's the pictures that support the text. It's that difference that causes us to make comics and not consider making visual novels. We are skilled in telling a story through pictures and dialogue, but we are both surprisingly hopeless in writing...what's the term? Normal non-dialogue prose. You know, telling a story by describing the setting and the mood and all that. Our text is meant to be seen in speech bubbles, quickly going from picture to picture.
DeleteWe also make heavy use of small pictures with close-ups, aka pictures that only really work in a comic page format and aren't interesting enough to stand out on their own.
For me personally it's not an issue to begin with. I have no story to tell of my own, nor do I have that ambition. I simply assist others to draw the most out of their products.

ReplyDeleteAt this moment, we have 158 story pages. Most of them (about 140) are already in a finalized state. It's not going particularly fast, but the reason for that is simple and familiar: G9 has his yearly summer peak of being far too busy with real life work.
It's not the chapter itself that is creating roadblocks; it's simply a lack of available time.
Looking at the story so far, I would say that we're probably past the midway point, but we'll very likely go past 200 pages with this closing chapter.
As always, we can only ask for everyone's patience.
I think you can divide chapter5 into two parts or deliver some updated pictures on this blog. Because many people are looking forward the new pictures.

- Ellison is sus, he has a dark side, and he has 2x the stakes with Mina and Yeri. As a Patreon comment from the previews pointed out, he got an injury that is very similar to Alister from previous works. It might be nothing, but chekov's gun could be at play
