Yes. After Gaia 6 is ready, it's time for the last part of the history lesson in Shadow Ranger Zero-3 before we can wrap up the whole Rangers universe and storyline with Gaia 7.
Nice updates! But if I may just critique, the renders when it is at a straight angle can be kind of weird for some reasons and this has happened quite a few times (e.g: Queen) and now Emma. The Emma straight shot makes her nose look really weird as though she either had a nose job or she has a really bad cold if you get what I mean
But thank you for the work G9! I look forward to GAIA 6. No doubt that it will be impressive
Most likely is the lighting. It's still a problematic things (for me) in Octane render. At one point, I do want to make a "fixed" lighting to make render faster. To make it simple, I put the light on exact position every render on the same location. So, when the character change position, the lights are still on the same position. That results on some "weird" render. But, if I change every lights position for every render, the good thing is every render would be the same perfect lighting, the bad thing is, it take more times, and for make some bad discontinuity? You know like... wait, the sun was in the east, and suddenly in the west? Something like that. For now, I chose the first option. Sorry for some bad light renders like the one you mention above. Maybe I can find a better solution next time. Thank you for your support.

It's a free new "GPU render engine" included in DAZ, developed by Nvidia, so you must have a NVIDIA GPU to use this feature. As another GPU based renderer, it's "faster" compared to CPU based render (depends on your GPU). Support path/ray tracing. It's pretty similar to Octane render.
I don't think June will be ready (still need 2 major scenes), hope we can finish it July. But still, my target is August. Sometime we need sometime after the comic finish to think which part is actually not good/need some repair. And time for mpgrey to spot some broken panties >_<

Update time! Not the update anyone was waiting for, but nonetheless it's an update that was always coming at some point.
Work on Gaia 6 is paused for a while. People who have been visiting this blog for some years know what's up: it's G9's yearly peak period for his real life work again. That moment of the year when literally all his available time goes into his business, every single day. No time for a normal life, let alone for putting work into the comic.
It's no reason to be worried, though. For those of you reading this who are new here, it's a recurring phenomenon. It was not for nothing that G9 made that vague july/august estimate for when the chapter would hopefully be ready. That was all with this yearly pause in mind.
I'm not too sure exactly how long this peak period for G9's work lasts. Usually it's about a month or a bit longer. There won't be any new progress during this time, unfortunately.
It sucks, but this was always coming at some point before Gaia 6 would be completed. Bear with us.
Hopefully we'll be able to deliver something that matches your expectations. Though it will likely be a near impossible job to make something that instantly makes 6 years of waiting worth it. We'll certainly attempt to do so, of course.

The feeling this new teaser is a lot more "thorny" whereas the former teaser is a lot more sensual and seductive I feel. Nevertheless, not going to interfere with G9's creativity. Just saying that I agree that the former teaser and Sophie design was quite phenomenal.

That is difficult to say because the chapter is not finished yet. The most recent version I have has 134 pages, but that is a version from april. I don't know how many new pages have been made since then.

There is no need for this cynicism. This (by now) infamous picture everyone links to and talks about is from before the forced re-rendering of the whole chapter. As is known by now, an update for the Daz software caused weird and unwanted effects for many textures and made them unusable. This very design was among the affected textures.
So this is part of the "old" problem and certainly not a brand new problem that causes even more delays. The whole chapter has been rebuilt and has become far better than it was before the reset. Sophie's design is simply one of the few remaining parts of the puzzle that still has to be solved.
Press on G9MP!!! I think GAIA 6 is looking to be G9's best work and masterpiece so far. Judging from the teaser renders, it looks incredibly sick. Very thankful for G9 and your work!!! Keep it up man
Can I just point out that corrupted Mei looks crazy hot? High hopes for her corruption and transformation now. Sophie's new teaser looks nice too but I like the old version better as well because it feels more plant-based. The current corrupted Sophie gives off a similar vibe as Leona's sister: lots of green and spikes

WOW!! G9 THAT'S FKING AMAZING RENDERS ESPECIALLY FOR SOPHIE!! Can't tell if that's her final transformation, but if that's her in the process of transforming, I think the final will be awesome!! The texture of the old render was a little better (greenish-beige) giving off a chlorophyll feel but if this render is only of Sophie in the process of being corrupted, I think it's perfect.

Absolutely. Unlimited page views, downloads and no threat of having a gallery be purged whenever some joker adds a forbidden tag. E-hentai is clumsy in comparison but fortunately still the place where we can put our comics and any person can access them.
To think that the hoster just did "poof" and made exhentai vanish from existence just like that is...unbelievable.
I don't think it will just end like that. E-hentai is such an incredibly large and well-used site. With a timely announcement like this, there's bound to be various solutions to keep the site alive.
The situation reminds me a bit of nyaatorrents that vanished just like that, "poof", because the owner suddenly pulled the plug without any warning. And yet, nyaa has been revived more or less perfectly again even though potential successors were given no warning.
Now for e-hentai, a very timely warning has been given, so I'm sure a solution will be found.
The disappearance of exhentai, from what I understand, is unrelated to these other problems and seem to have to do with more strict legislative measures against child porn in the Netherlands. Nothing wrong with that, I'd say, but (possibly?) overreacted interpretations of these new measures meant that actual child porn was mixed together with simple drawn cartoons or illustrations. Not unlike how tumblr overreacted when purging all and any erotic material.
From how I understand it, the exhentai owner got cold feet and pulled the plug very abruptly to stay out of trouble that may never have been trouble anyway. But I could be wrong, and it's obviously very defendable that people choose to be safe rather than sorry.
I still need to finish about 10 pages. After that we'll need some time to review every pages. Pictures, dialogues, and we are done. Hopefully we didn't make much mistakes so we can finish it ASAP.
August will be here soon, so I want to share this story before the new chapter comes out.
I am somebody who visits this site daily to see if there is an update, or even some extra comments in the last post. Every time I open the site, my heart starts pounding like a madman AND I LOVE IT.
The chance to see some new pictures is an invigorating thrill and even if there isn't an update, I am not (too) disappointed, because I know that the next day I will open the site with the same feeling again...
So, before the new chapter, I want to thank you, G9, for the best fan-service a fan can hope for and making me feel this excited (in both meanings of the word) day after day.
I know the new chapter will be great, because I love your style and your stories and I hope there will be many days like this in the future. I am sure there will be.

I have already done some early text correction in a few certain scenes while G9 is still busy completing the remaining pages. So, at this moment of writing, still not all the pages have been made, and the majority of the pages still need to be fixed/adapted/lifted.
Expect at the very minimum that we'll need another week before F5 smashing is necessary, but it'll most likely take even longer.
When you see that G9 has created a new topic in which he posts the cover, THAT will be the traditional F5 trigger.
Will there be a big fight between DE and the remaining rangers or lucian?I just think that if DE dont have any drawback,why didnt he go to catch the rangers as quickly as he could?There must be some reasons to explain that why he should corrupt them one bye one,right?
This is a very good question which has to do with one of the biggest plot weirdness throughout all of Shadow and Gaia. The D.E. is so vastly overpowered. Why wouldn't he go all out, take the lead and conquer the world within moments? An explanation for this is planned for SR0-3.

The G9 wiki articles are not written by us. The thing about the wiki is that the articles are written by you, the fans.
It has indeed been a long time since a new article was made, which gives me a great opportunity to mention the wiki again.
To anyone who may be interested in contributing to this blog by adding a new character log to the wiki, go for it! The blog statistics always show me that the wiki entries are among the most read pages on this blog, so your hard work won't go unnoticed and will be appreciated. You could use the current entries as a sort of template if you're not sure how to start, and I can help you with potential finishing touches to get it right.
So far, we only have entries for the female Shadow Rangers and Bryan from the Dexa Rangers, so there are still many characters left to choose from.
Hopefully we can put some life into the wiki again with fresh entries.
This is indeed Emma. Her condition is a bit unknown after she was only partly cured at the end of Gaia 5. There will be plenty of spotlight on Emma in Gaia 6.
It's more than just the review. Still not all the pages have been made. It has been a productive week nonetheless. I've already rewritten about 40% or so of all the pages, so we're perfectly on schedule if we keep this up.
The schedule is august. Nothing more specific than that. The sooner, the better, but the intended goal is anywhere between now and the 31st. It'll likely be done a whole lot earlier than the 31st, but I'm not going to stick all sorts of unnecessary deadlines on this.

The whole chapter has been rebuilt and has become far better than it was before the reset. Sophie's design is simply one of the few remaining parts of the puzzle that still has to be solved.
Press on G9MP!!! I think GAIA 6 is looking to be G9's best work and masterpiece so far. Judging from the teaser renders, it looks incredibly sick. Very thankful for G9 and your work!!! Keep it up man

Sophie's new teaser looks nice too but I like the old version better as well because it feels more plant-based. The current corrupted Sophie gives off a similar vibe as Leona's sister: lots of green and spikes

Can't tell if that's her final transformation, but if that's her in the process of transforming, I think the final will be awesome!! The texture of the old render was a little better (greenish-beige) giving off a chlorophyll feel but if this render is only of Sophie in the process of being corrupted, I think it's perfect.

I don't think it will just end like that. E-hentai is such an incredibly large and well-used site. With a timely announcement like this, there's bound to be various solutions to keep the site alive.
DeleteThe situation reminds me a bit of nyaatorrents that vanished just like that, "poof", because the owner suddenly pulled the plug without any warning. And yet, nyaa has been revived more or less perfectly again even though potential successors were given no warning.
Now for e-hentai, a very timely warning has been given, so I'm sure a solution will be found.
The disappearance of exhentai, from what I understand, is unrelated to these other problems and seem to have to do with more strict legislative measures against child porn in the Netherlands. Nothing wrong with that, I'd say, but (possibly?) overreacted interpretations of these new measures meant that actual child porn was mixed together with simple drawn cartoons or illustrations. Not unlike how tumblr overreacted when purging all and any erotic material.
From how I understand it, the exhentai owner got cold feet and pulled the plug very abruptly to stay out of trouble that may never have been trouble anyway. But I could be wrong, and it's obviously very defendable that people choose to be safe rather than sorry.

ReplyDeleteI am somebody who visits this site daily to see if there is an update, or even some extra comments in the last post. Every time I open the site, my heart starts pounding like a madman
AND I LOVE IT.
The chance to see some new pictures is an invigorating thrill and even if there isn't an update, I am not (too) disappointed, because I know that the next day I will open the site with the same feeling again...
So, before the new chapter, I want to thank you, G9, for the best fan-service a fan can hope for and making me feel this excited (in both meanings of the word) day after day.
I know the new chapter will be great, because I love your style and your stories and I hope there will be many days like this in the future.
I am sure there will be.

DeleteI have already done some early text correction in a few certain scenes while G9 is still busy completing the remaining pages. So, at this moment of writing, still not all the pages have been made, and the majority of the pages still need to be fixed/adapted/lifted.
DeleteExpect at the very minimum that we'll need another week before F5 smashing is necessary, but it'll most likely take even longer.
When you see that G9 has created a new topic in which he posts the cover, THAT will be the traditional F5 trigger.
Will there be a big fight between DE and the remaining rangers or lucian?I just think that if DE dont have any drawback,why didnt he go to catch the rangers as quickly as he could?There must be some reasons to explain that why he should corrupt them one bye one,right?
ReplyDeleteThis is a very good question which has to do with one of the biggest plot weirdness throughout all of Shadow and Gaia. The D.E. is so vastly overpowered. Why wouldn't he go all out, take the lead and conquer the world within moments?

The G9 wiki articles are not written by us. The thing about the wiki is that the articles are written by you, the fans.
DeleteIt has indeed been a long time since a new article was made, which gives me a great opportunity to mention the wiki again.
To anyone who may be interested in contributing to this blog by adding a new character log to the wiki, go for it! The blog statistics always show me that the wiki entries are among the most read pages on this blog, so your hard work won't go unnoticed and will be appreciated.
You could use the current entries as a sort of template if you're not sure how to start, and I can help you with potential finishing touches to get it right.
So far, we only have entries for the female Shadow Rangers and Bryan from the Dexa Rangers, so there are still many characters left to choose from.
Hopefully we can put some life into the wiki again with fresh entries.

DeleteIt has been a productive week nonetheless. I've already rewritten about 40% or so of all the pages, so we're perfectly on schedule if we keep this up.
What is on schedule though? End of August?
