DeleteI really need some fresh things and yet don't ruin the whole trilogy and the sequel after.
It is the bridge to the original Shadow Ranger and Gaia after that.
So, yeah, it's really complicated.
While I'm stuck, I sometime do other "project" render as my hobby.
Some of them are finally published between those main comics.
I'm sorry if it looks like I'm out of focus.
The Rangers comic is the most time consuming project. And lately it's quite a stressful project rather than fun >_<
I apologized for that.
if the Rangers comic is too stressful, take a break! focus on a short story. honestly, as much as i love the Rangers comics, i think i like the one-and-done stories more.
Deleteyou could focus on that Castlevania one. or even better, Filthy Fantasy XIII with Lightening and Serah! i saw someone here suggest that once and it would be amazing
maybe you could do Crypt Raider 2, where Lara breaks free of the corruption, only to have her master and Sam corrupt her permanently. (i only say that because as much as I loved Crypt Raider, i thought Lara was corrupted too easily. it seemed like it was harder to corrupt Sam)

DeleteI'd love it if G9 could advance on the Castlevania comic. This videogame always had the right atmosphere and so much potential for dark corruption stories!
I'm not sure about a Crypt Raider II. While I agree that it felt as if Lara fell a bit quick, I think it's just because there wasn't a big focus on the transformation, her reaction to it, and that the money/sex scene was bit short.
Still we got a good additional sex scene at the end so I thought it balanced out.
Wait a little for the Castlevania one, I need some more time for preparations.
DeleteIt needs more minor characters that show "castlevania" in the comics, succubus heads, that stacking skull dragon heads, etc. Don't worry, I'll email you when I'm ready.
Yeah, the more I read Crypt Raider, the more it feels weak on the second part of the comic.
And also I think the Lara design is not so good.
About FFXIII...
Deletethe problem I have with it are the hair models.
The model I have was ripped from the game.
And it's a low poly one.
It looks really bad when being rendered in octane.

just so you know, G9, I loved the Lara design! thought it was great. I feel like if you cut out the silly/comedy part with her having sex with the monster and added more pages about her corruption and her trying to fight it, that would have been perfect. loved the ending overall.
Deleteas for FFXIII, i'm not an artist so i can't really comment on the hair models but i'll say this: Filthy Fantasy XIII is my absolute #1 most wanted story from you. something the length of Crypt Raider where both Serah and Lightning are corrupted and forced to serve a master. Serah corrupted first obviously, as Lightning is a strong character and would put up a lot of resistance.

DeleteIt's also not in a state of "almost ready", though everything is proceeding smoothly so far.
G9's RL work is getting in the way again, otherwise Zerion IX might have gotten ready in time. So it'll be for 2016; it can't be helped.

ReplyDeleteThe same as so often: work. Real life obligations. An end of the year peak in activity and stress.
DeleteG9 is always busiest around the summer and winter holidays, and that unfortunately means little to no work on erotic comic making.
So was it too optimistic claiming that Zerion-IX would be ready for Christmas? Probably, but we have a tendency to be too optimistic.

In 2015, only two comics have been made; let's hope that this will be better for this year.
Shinra also finds himself having less and less time, so everyone's patience keeps being tested.
Nonetheless, let's hope for lots of free time, energy, inspiration and perseverance.
And (of course) faultless grammar. ;P

We'll be much more happy if we get a good progressive transformation/seduction.
I think it's better to reveal a bit more about Zerion-IX in order to let you know what to expect.
ReplyDeleteIt's G9's personal pet project, just like Violet was: a story that he wanted to make for himself, and it will be a little different than usual as a result of this.
Violet, with its NTR theme and complete lack of MC-related corruption was a step in a whole different direction.
Zerion-IX stays closer to familiar territory but will feel very different as well. It's more of a nod to classic Japanese mecha anime with its setting, or super sentai series with its simple plot and silly villain. There is a good chunk of nudity and sex and the plot centers around mind control, but it won't explore "good progressive transformation".
The overall focus lies on fun and casual rather than on epic and deep.
I don't want anyone to go into this thinking there'll be some steaming-hot, dark corruption and tf coming...and then be disappointed with seeing mostly lightheartedness.
Make no mistake, this is not a message intended to scare anyone away: no need for that as it's still a fine little story with enough to enjoy (all pages I've seen so far, at least). But I want to be fair in what to expect.
Maybe sentai is not the correct theme.

There won't be a progressive transformation for sure.
But yes for seduction.
It won't be a long comic tho' (not a series for sure)

I don't mind that there is no transformation if we get good seduction and maybe good NTR, but what worries me most is when you speak about mind control. Is it one of those comics where the heroine is in a trance/daze and basically unconscious all the time?
Some scenes yes, but not all the time.

Zerion like mp said is basically my own project.
I tried some new style that almost impossible to be applied to the main series like GAIA/Shadow Rangers.
It's more a homage to early 80's super robot series like Mazinga Z / Getter Robo, etc.

Yeah to be honest after reading the latest comments I must say I am truly quite disappointed that there will not be any corruption or transformation scenes because those are the best parts of G9comics and are where G9 excels at. Really hope that future projects would include those without a doubt. I mean projects like violet are decent but are not amazing. Whereas the rest of G9's stories with corruption and transformation are on a whole different level that few can hope to match...

DeleteThere has been little to no progress for a while because G9 hasn't had much time to render anything. I have started on the text by now, but there is still much to do. Those last 10-15 pages still haven't been made, so we'll need to wait for those anyway.
We will let you all know when the release is approaching; we won't simply put it online by surprise or anything.
A new blog topic will be made when there is a specific update to be given. As long as that hasn't happened yet, no one needs to hammer the f5 button.
