Yeah, it's been the most problematic comic we've ever made.
It needs more than a year to be finished. But! still we want to deliver the best comic we've ever made.
We hope it'll be worth the wait >_<
By the way, it's been a while since we post something on the blog. So, we'll put some updates and also one random render for now.

So yeah, to avoid any confusion, it just means that work on SR0-2 has been going on for more than a year already (though with noteworthy breaks for other comics).
ReplyDeleteNo need to worry about another scary delay like that. We split the remaining part of the story precisely for that reason.
So what is the time-frame for the first part being released? May calm us down after reading that first statement like we'd be waiting another year
ReplyDeleteExperience has taught all of us that anything I promise about release dates can not be trusted, so I'm not going to predict anything.
DeleteThere are two important scenes that still need to be done. One is about halfway done and decided, the other is now finally starting to come together.
Apart from these two scenes, the rest of the chapter is more or less already finished. "Finished" as in "ready for release".
So it's looking very good and promising, and the light at the end of the tunnel is clearly in sight. But still, there are those two scenes to be completed first, and I cannot predict how hard it'll be to get those done, and how much time G9 has to be working on it.
Really nice pics as always. You really mastering Octane isn't it now. my fav goes to the occultis solaris one.

The problem is, Octane is still evolving, just like the latest update which...almost ruin what you've learned before.(with lots of changes, from GUI, material set up etc...)
The always changing habit in Octane sometime really make me frustrated >_<
Great! I love that Prof Kyle is doing his cute novice / student / adopted daughter.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great theme to explore, a corruption full of potential and without a doubt a great sex scene!
Honestly, I'd love if it wasn't just simple hypnosis sex but that both corrupted each other and ended becoming a couple of dark lieutenants or something.

ReplyDeleteThe light at the end of the long and dark tunnel is almost within grasp now.
The problem scenes have been made...and look amazing! (Biased opinion alert! >_<)
I'll still need some time though to provide them with fitting text, as well as the other scenes where the text depended on what we ended up using in the "problem" scenes.
While I'll be working on the text, G9 will be remaking a certain important scene, providing it with new pictures. It is a key scene and one of the earlier scenes that have been made, almost a full year ago already.
He told me that he isn't satisfied anymore with the quality of those pictures, and that he is able to make them look far more interesting with his current skills.
That seems like an interesting challenge to me! ^_^
So please realize that this is work that will be done WHILE I'm meanwhile doing other work, so this decision will not push the release date back.
Despite all this good news, I still cannot get a good idea of when we can estimate that this chapter can finally be put online. We will definitely need longer than just a few days or so, so it's not time to get excited yet.
And for those wondering: at this moment, the chapter has 249 pages, so that is what it more or less will end up with, possible bonus material excluded.
Of course it will be awesome, just look at the third picture. She has a boob window. Reminds me of the late 90s early 00s when the girls in school had boob windows.

DeleteThe DSF (Dexa Security Forces) is the organization funding the Dexa Rangers. You know, the big building where most of the story takes place? That's the DSF hq. This also makes the DSF the foundation of the Shadow Rangers, as we can see in the first chapter.
Okay, i should have known that. Have to read the first chapter again and refresh my memory. But that have to be when the next chapter is ready.

DeleteHave G9 ever done a story without at least one individual being corrupted? We do know that there are at least two individuals who will be corrupted. That would mean one corruption scene in every part or, a hell of a third part where you get all the corruption you need.
DeleteOr maybe he saves time and do the corruption of screen and choose to spend most of the pages to show us beautifully rendered landscapes instead ;)
You guessed right. This chapter will be about nicely rendered fruit bowls, green mountains, gorgeous sunsets, and puppies...lots of puppies!

DeleteWe are a lot of people waiting, but that shouldn't be what matters, but that you have fun doing this, that's the porpuse of a hobby. That said, I can't wait to see the result of these months of hard work!

DeleteSo G9 and I too cannot wait until we've finally reached the finish line and we can put this chapter online.
The last few hurdles are always the toughest. Not many new pages or pics are being made and it's primarily about tweaking all the scenes until we feel that it's all we can do. This isn't very exciting or anything because it gives the impression that hardly anything is being done.
That's why it's always great to see people like you and others supporting us by telling that you can tolerate the waiting. Waiting is not fun.
It's ridiculous how much we're testing your and everyone else's patience, but we just need those few extra days. We're so close!
Can't wait for this to come out!

ReplyDeleteCurrent situation is that I have no work at the moment. That is both bad news and good news.
ReplyDeleteIt's bad because I cannot make better use of the time I have available.
It's good because it means that everything else has been fully completed.
It's the familiar story, everyone. We're waiting for one scene to be completed. That's all.
After this scene is done, I can provide it with text, and then the whole chapter is ready for upload.
It's as simple as that. How long will this take? No idea.
Could be one more day, two more days, three more days...

ReplyDeleteOkay, people. I have just received a whole new update of the chapter.
ReplyDeleteG9 has added a lot. (This version now consists of 277 pages.)
According to tradition, he has added in a lot more scenes and ideas in various places.
Almost all of them are very good and usable as they are, but some others create continuity errors. This means that we're now busy with relocating and editing these pages until they're good to go.
These new ideas are pretty good so, if possible, I want to find a new place for them in the chapter instead of taking them out.
What does this all mean? I doubt we will manage to get to a weekend release. It's unfortunate, but it just comes too soon.
But it will never be too long after the weekend because all the pages have now basically been made. There is lots of editing and streamlining to be done, but that doesn't take as much time as creating new scenes.
I too was hoping for a weekend release, but we'll have to ask (AGAIN!!!) for your patience a little while longer. It also doesn't help that I have no time to be working on this tomorrow.
Please hang in there for a little while longer. Just like I've been doing already, I will keep you informed about the progress and current situation.
