While waiting for FFX dialogues, I'm playing with "brightness vs darkness".
And the fun fact is...
The dark scenes are rendered longer than the bright scenes.
So, my PC prefers to render cute pretty girls rather than dark gloomy old man, you naughty PC!
>_<
It doesn't look like these were made with Octane. If they were, the rendering would also just be a matter of a few seconds. What happened with your use of Octane? Does it turn out to be too much for your pc to handle?
ReplyDeleteOctane was only good when the scenes don't have too many objects, since it depends on GPU's RAM, not CPU one. Of course you can use 2/4 GPU at one time, but that would be cost a lot.
DeleteSay 4 X Nvidia's Titan Z GPU, that would be cost thousands dollars.
oh you are back :)
ReplyDeletewhen can we see FFX
the blonde looks really hot! is that a new comic?
FFX should be a matter of a few days. I've already started with the dialogue and I have plenty of time the next few days.
DeleteStill, promises made by the G9 team can never be taken for granted, as history has proven. >_>
Ah, you like her, huh?
DeleteNo, not a new comic, just prepare some characters for future comics.
yes she looks nice ! a little work on her eyes, a other blue or green eyes would I shafts for her!
DeleteI have two 780 TI GTX with the extra RAM that work fairly well and fraction of the cost. Titan Z's are insanely over priced. My new system wouldn't happen without Amazon Warehouse scratch and dent sale prices. Two video cards at the cost of one at retail. Six core CPU for 2/3 the price. My other factor is well my wife. She watches the electric bill. Have a nice 1200 watt power supply that raises our bill. Now the electric company shows us on the bill how we compare against our neighbors. Granted, I have two kids compared to just couples around me. But I'm looking at 300 percent higher. I couldn't fathom the cost of running 4 GPU system for long hours of the day. Unless I was doing something productive to curb the cost.
ReplyDeleteWow!
Delete780 is quite expensive too! It's so lucky you have two of them. Are you using them for gaming or for render?
For gaming, 780 SLI can compete Titan performance for sure (slightly better, maybe?)
Titan Z is just all other Nvidia's GPU are extremely over price.
GTX 680, 780 should not be on X80 series actually.
The Titan series are the "true" X80 series, sucessor after GTX480.
But now, with the new name, it has new "price" too.
That's so crazy.
And while 780 are great, but the GPU RAM needed for octane is much less than Titan's has.
And yeah 4 GPU would cost a lot too >_<
tonight maybe???
ReplyDelete-edited-
DeleteSorry, wrong answer... >_<
