Very nice G9! we can really see the difference on the 1st picture ! It's blurry because the focus is on the upper part of her body, that's totally normal.
I was myself hesitating buying octane, was not sure about the result. What do you think of it ? easy to use ?
Which one are you using ? the plugin for Daz which add a new 3D engine or the full Octane engine outside of Daz ?
How long does it take to render such picture ? could you use it to render your whole comic for example ?
And last question ^^ how much did you pay for this ?
It was awesome, BUT the big BUT is, it need lots of VRAM, not RAM. So it needs big/super GPU with lots of RAM to make it works. I have GTX 680 with "only" 2 GB, and it can't even load 2 characters. For background it works lilke magic. Only 5 second, and it's done. You can wait for about 30 seconds-1 minute for maximum result.
But if you want to create another light (yes, there's no traditional light like in Daz, you must "create" the light, i.e setting the material to make it like lamps.
It's quite make me dizzy...>_<
But the result is awesome.
Maybe I should wait 2-3 years till the GPU has about 8 GB/16GB Vram, and everything would be awesome ^_^

I think I understand what you mean with the lights. I have the reality plugin and it's working the same way I guess. material becomes lights. It gives amazing results but it just kills my CPU and takes forever to render a nice pic. Last one I tried to render took nearly 9h >_<
I did the same a few month ago, I broke my piggie to buy...Z-Brush (more than 600 euros) to try to create my own models.......I'm still cying over it T_T It's so dam complicated to master and takes so long to learn. I could not even create anything so far >_<
Whoa! You bought Z-brush! cool! I wish I can learn how to use modelling software like that. If we can master it then, it would be AWESOME! We can create anything we want! *dreaming* Is there any you know...zbrush for noob / beginner. Something we can learn step by step? Whoa 600 euros... it's lot of money... T_T
Cool but harder than hard >_< I tried to learn as I did with daz by trying and testing but it just doesn't work, it way too complex and there's a looooot of options.
I also tried to follow some basic tutorial but if you're not good to model stuff, it doesn't look good at all. And on top of this, it takes hours and hours to learn, do and undo. That's a paradox because, as you said, if we could create our own model it would be terrific and would make our comic even better, but spending a lot of time on this, carry me away from the comics we're doing right now >_< hard to find soe time to do both T_T
But I will try again anyway. For my next big project, I wanna create a lot of stuffs which don't exist anywhere so I have to master it ^^
I think the face looks brilliant but is it just me or are certain parts of the body blurry especially mai's feet. (Throw in a corrupted Mai?) :D
