The new Lucian is completely convincing and can easily replace the one from Gaia 1-4.
Laura's upgrade qualifies as well, though I think she looks a little bit too young in the first picture, and in the other pictures showing her, it appears her arms are either too thin or too long.
But, well, hanging there like that, it was bound to happen! >_<
As for the room, it has changed from one with nothing specific at all, to a room with so much detail and eye candy! Absolutely amazing job!
The 7th picture appears to be somewhere else though. Is that another part of Lucian's room? If so, I'm not sure if it should be like that as it's too similar to the D.E.'s place.

Just promise me that page 10 will be full of the same perfect shots as was the case in the trial version, okay? ^_^

ReplyDeleteLeona is the leader of the Gaia Rangers (Red Ranger).
Laura is her older sister. We saw her in Leona's (flashback) dream in Gaia 4. Lucian captured and corrupted her, and judging from the pictures, she is still captured.
will a female be completely corrupted and transformed in gaia 5? =P
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, that's not easy to answer.
ReplyDeleteThe script is done (except for a very small tweak that needs to be included as a set-up for later in the story), but it's kinda big.
Judging from raw text alone isn't easy, but it appears to become a monster-sized issue, similar to how Shinra's latest Fallen Star issue was so enormous.
The problem is, unfortunately, that a bigger issue also means more work, meaning that everyone has to wait even longer until it's done.
So we're considering the option of cutting the script in half and release the first part as Gaia 5 and the other as Gaia 6, all depending on the total page count.
So, in other words, it's not set in stone just yet what will be in Gaia 5 and what not.
As for actually answering your question about corruption and transformation.... Gosh, I wonder about that too! Guess all we can do is wait. :P
oh my mistake, but she doesn't seem as corrupted in this scene as she did in that flashback, unless of course part of this teaser is a flashback
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, we like to be confusing: there will be more flashbacks in Gaia 5, but the scene shown in this teaser is "present time". And indeed, as you can gauge from the pictures, Laura has her own mind in these pics...

ReplyDeleteIn the worst-case scenario, you don't necessarily have to stick with the animal theme, though it's a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteBut I think it's more important to create impressive forms than to force an animal-theme in that looks weird and somehow also needs to correspond to the color? Snakes aren't yellow either, nor are spiders pink.
I also don't agree that a cat-like transformation would end up being too cute: You don't have to go for the standard typical anime catgirl-look! >_< (And she doesn't have to end all her sentences with "nya" either!! :P)
I think going for something panther-like would be totally fine and suitable for what we're looking for.
And even if the cat-form would end up too cute, she would make a nice pet for the D.E. I mean, let's not ignore the poor man. About all he does in the story is transform women and have sex. No wonder he has such a warped character!
He should have a comfy chair, a glass of wine, a big cigar, and a cute pet beside him and he can take it easy and the world would be a safer place! >_<

Does the animal chosen really needs to have some ability of its own that could be linked to corruption?
DeleteIn that case, your pool of animals to choose from would be really limited. And it's not as if the Shadow Rangers were completely harmless without animal traits in their corrupted forms.
You could use the cat or cat-like corruption to have the girl be very quick and agile, easily climbing up walls and attacking from above...you know, just for their battle abilities. Or have her nails or claws contain some poison or other effect.
Just bringing up ideas here. It's not as if I'm forcing you to choose a cat.
It's just that I'll never forgive you if you don't! ;P

DeleteOf course some animal has some mind-controlling ability (such like hypnotism), I watched it on animal planet, a snake, can make it's prey stand still (can't move).
