Current Situation.
Hi all,
First, I want to apologize for the lack of information I put on this blog lately.
I haven't replied to lots of question about when Gaia will be released, or where are the updates etc...
The main reason why is my Job.
Right now, it's not a good time for me, my company (where I work).
It's no joke that the business I'm in is in a hard time. I believe some of you have heard something about how bad the retails business right now. Lots of retail chains close their stores etc.
Yes, I'm working on one of the retail business. And it's a very hard times for us.
There's so much things to do to survive now.
To be honest, I can't even think to do some renders, or anything about the comic right now.
I can understand if you hate me for this.
I've failed to deliver Gaia 6 again and again. It's been more than 5 years since the last Gaia.
That's why I don't want to write anything about when Gaia will be released.
Maybe it will be better if I tell you this.
G9mpcomic will go on hiatus for a while.
So you don't have to wait with empty hope.
I'll be back when everything gets better.

G9, I completely understand and I think most of us do. I really enjoyed your work in the past and I was really looking forward for the next chapter of Gaia, but it's more important to sort out other things in your life. I wish you all the best and even if you never continue your work on these comics, you can be proud of and I'll be forever grateful for what you've already done!

not your fault that real life is kicking you in the balls right now but that understandably takes priority over this. I'm sure thing's will get better for you soon enough.

Why not do a partial release? Split the chapter? Some is better than none
ReplyDeleteNot possible with the haphazard way we work. We don't make the pages in order. About 60 or so pages are ready, but that doesn't mean they'll be the first 60 pages of the chapter. We're constantly going back to older pages, improving them, relocating them, sometimes exchanging them for a different idea are making them better connect with newer pages.
DeleteI've seen about 8 different versions of just the opening scene: that's how much of a chaos it is "behind the scenes".
The chapter is ready when it is ready. Hastily releasing parts of it just means releasing work that is still under construction and not really ready at all.
Wish that G9 will get back his life together and be able to start on gaia again
ReplyDeleteHey there!! they'd just release a Vietnamese translation of crypt raider (Just the first 15 pags tough) I think it's one of your best works, I hope it feels good to have your work be seen all over the world ^_^
ReplyDeleteIt never stops feeling good to see our comics appear in all those other languages. It's a sign that, even long after its original release, the comic still lives on and people are enthousiastic enough to want to share them with more potentially interested readers.
DeleteI hope they will finish the project, though. They released a portion of Zerion a few months ago that never got a follow-up.
...Then again, who am I to comment about that? >_<

Well, in all honesty, attempts at making a second Violet, a Resident Evil story, a Castlevania story or a second chapter of Pretty G Soldiers haven't been particularly successful either... ;P
DeletePlease don't delay GAIA further for the sake of any other comics ... I think it has been long enough. I can accept that GAIA is delayed as G9 needs to get his life in order but if GAIA is pushed back again because of any other comic just like how it was for Zerion, Shadow Rangers 0 etc I am going to be extremely disappointed, especially since I have waited years for it

DeleteIn the meantime, you (all) could help bringing some life back here. Why not write something for the G9wiki? It's been a long while since a new entry was made, yet the blog statistics show me that its entries are always among the most visited pages on this blog.

The wiki is meant for all characters of the "rangers" universe, so SR0, SR and GR. Currently, we only have the SR girls and SR0's Bryan, so the wiki could really use more entries.
