ReplyDeleteHe gave an update on G9 a couple blog posts ago. Let him do what he wants. G9 isn't happening at this moment for a few reasons.
DeleteAnd he wouldn't be doing G9 INSTEAD of this because of how busy he is at the moment. So it's either a) he works on a smaller one-shot or b) we get nothing new from G9 at all.
GAIA will come when it's ready.

I thought g9 is continuing Gaia 6 and these are only his trials with the rendering programme? Wouldn't he be continuing Gaia 6 after his busy period instead of spending it on the OLD one-shot?

DeleteEveryone loves GAIA, it's great, and of course everyone wants it now... but that's not how it works; both of them have a life and things to do, this isn't even their work, we can't push them just because we love what they do, THEY DON'T OWE US ANYTHING (quite the other way around).
DeleteThey are persons who does this for fun and if instead it becomes a burden (for any reason) then... it's fine if they decide to take a break and do anything else, we must understand that.
As for me, I only want for him to do whatever he wants (preferably a corruption/ntr story XD) to and have fun with it (Also G9 has never dissapointed with his stories and I love Jill <3 )

Deletemy opinion: I want the Jill comic first! I personally like his solo comics better, so I think someone will always be disappointed. But Zerion is his best comic ever and the Tomb Raider one is close behind

but what you need to understand, which has been said multiple times in these comments, is that even if he wasn't doing this Jill comic, you wouldn't be getting gaia right now. he's busy with work. Jill is an old comic that he is finishing up.

Actually, g9 never said that this is coming before gaia 6. Yes we wouldn't be getting gaia 6 NOW because he is busy but we would be getting it soon. As accurately pointed out below, I look forward to gaia 6 release this year and I hope that this Jill comic will not delay gaia 6 again to next year or more.

Considering gaia 6 was shelved for such a long time, I am sure g9 is finishing up gaia 6 after his busy period to release it as soon as possible
And seeing all the fantastic teasers of gaia 6, I am sure it is not too far off
I must say I want to see the continuation of GAIA first too instead of another one-off short story again

ReplyDeleteThese Resident Evil pages are experimental. Think of them like the pages that G9 made before for Castlevania or Violet 2.
There is a desire to make this Resident Evil comic at some point, but it's really just another idea on the big stack of ideas that hopefully get turned into comics sometime.
As far as I know, no Resident Evil comic is currently being made or prepared.
I see that G9 removed the joke about asking me for me a preorder, but without any disclaimer in its place, it's logical that it leads to a conclusion that this comic is serious.
Thank for for the clarification mp. Totally clears up the air and I am very heartened that gaia 6 is still in the works.

DeleteActually Shadow Ranger 0 were called Gaia 6, but since it's basically full of flashback stories, we decide to make it a prequel. And also there's so much troubles in the making, a switch from 3Delight to Octane, Generation 4 models to Genesis 2 and now to Genesis 3 models.
Hey at least it's not as long as Final Fantasy VII remake...yet, haha ^_^
