Great great pictures here G9 especially love the 5th picture. It's simple and yet you could see vividly the sorrow and grief in her eyes. Can't help but feel sympathetic for her. Erm not rushing you whatsoever G9 but will SR0 become so humongous that it drags deep into next year? Because I think completing it by the end of this year seems to be quite difficult and even if you split it into 2 parts it doesn't change the final release date of the 2nd part. Haha please dun flame me, it's just that I am so excited to see how GAIA 6 works out after the stunning GAIA 5 and I wouldn't want it to get delayed for too long D: However, thank you for the brilliant work as always!
There is no way we could've expected that SR0 indeed would become so humongous! And yet, we somehow don't mind at all! ^_^ If I think back about the original storyboard we had made...oh man, it was so simple compared to what we're making now.
That said, we cannot deny that Gaia 6 will get delayed because of this. It's exactly like you say: even with the split, it won't change anything about when the final page is ready. At the moment, we're still in denial: we don't want to admit that a split is unavoidable, still clinging to a tiny bit of hope that we'll somehow be able to make it before the end of the year.
But well...look at the progress bar. 40% still feels like a correct estimate. And I can tell you that it sometimes takes me a full hour to get the dialogue right for a single problematic page, so that's another time-consuming factor to consider.
You call Gaia 5 stunning (thank you for that); SR0 should blow that one out of the water! That's something nice to look forward to but boy, you guys certainly need to have a lot of patience! Sincerest apologies for that.
See MP I told you...I always feel the same about the fallen star. Like the chapter won't have the same savior if you ever had to split it, and as you said you keep on hanging to the idea that yes you can still make it in time ^^
You're certainly right and it would be hypocrisy at its finest if I refused to go with a split after recommending you to do it. However, our reasons have only to do with the title. It was supposed to be one background/origin issue, one issue with a confusing name that would explain everything we wanted to explain. With a split, it becomes even more cryptic! SR0-1 and SR0-2 or SR0A and SR0B I mean, geez...what's up with that? O_O With Fallen Star you can simply keep on adding a new number and we could do the same should it be necessary with Gaia, but I can't come up with any pretty solution for SR0!

A suggestion for the possible/not possible separation of Shadow Rangers Zero Comic. I understand it is difficult to choose between those two options, I personally have a lot of patience so I can wait, but why not simply call it Shadow Rangers Origins. With this you can easily split it and say Shadow Rangers Origins 1 and Shadow Rangers Origins 2.
If its too blunt then another suggestion. Make a word from the first two letters for the first part of the comic, for example ZE- Zealously (Shadow Rangers Zealously) and RO for the second part- example Rogue (Shadow Rangers Rogue).
Or the final suggestion split the Zero - Shadow Rangers Ze and Shadow Rangers Ro. I hope that these suggestions help you guys come up with a solution if you decide to split the comic.

Thank you for your suggestion, right now we haven't make our final decision wether to split it in two or not. But probably it will be split in two part. About the name, I'll think about that.

It won't be added specifically to the series. After all, this is only the prequel to Shadow Rangers and Gaia Rangers. It's not in Shadow Rangers and it won't suddenly be added to Gaia Rangers.
So what you see here only concerns this single comic, and we'll leave it up to imagination for now what the comic is going to feature. But yes, those certainly look like egg-pods...
have you decided to show us the body and mind corrosion and tf in the "egg"? I know, that you was thinking a lot over this thing last year! do you know when you have the middle of you comic?
All I can say is that, yes, we're getting a pretty good idea of the total size of the comic. It's pretty much decided that there will indeed be a split. From the way it looks, part1 will have around 150-180 pages. No idea if that will turn out to be the exact middle of the comic, but at least we have a certain part of the story in mind where we will split the release in part1 and part2.
What is certain though, is that this is the biggest comic (part1 and 2 combined) we have ever made.

Without spoiling anything, it's indeed the case that part 2 will contain more tf's than part 1.
It's unfortunate, but cannot be helped. The story was never designed to be split into two parts after all. We'll do whatever we can to make part 1 as interesting as possible, but it'll contain more mindplay than transformation. It'll set the story up for an explosion of fireworks in part 2, that's the plan. Part 1 will contain what you want to see but part 2 will have more of it.
I was expecting this question to show up but cannot put it any other way. That said, I'm nonetheless very pleased with what we're doing so far with part 1. Just know (or be warned if you couldn't care less) that, like Gaia 5, it also tries to be a "normal" comic in some scenes.

Most of the pages that will be in "part1" (tentative name) have been made. I am already busy writing, tweaking, and correcting the dialogue so it's really starting to come together now. I won't give you any estimate for a release date however. All I'll say is: 2013.
Oh yes, those two pictures of Pink with that red guy...ah yea! Those are getting me hyped just like the others with the plant. Seriously it is those pictures that make visiting the blog and waiting with baited breathe worth it. So good! I cannot wait. It is pictures like that which make me so happy I am willing to wait for it.
Shinra...about the previews. You can give small things away. Small. But you need to know what to advertise. Giving away nothing yields no interest. G9 at least has the idea correct about proper marketing for the comic. The pictures he puts up plant just the right amount of image in our minds. We are left with thinking...what will happen, what does this scene involve, what kind of actions will be done, what awaits us in expanding that scene...that is smart advertising because it already makes me want to see more even though I can assume or not assume where it is next. So very well done!!!
Good to see you pop up on the blog every now and then, sir. Dunno if Shinra happens to check this older topic, but it's very good to know you agree with our selection of teaser pics. Though I personally think Shinra's teaser pics are usually pretty alluring and baiting as well.
